4 Top 10 Finishes for Players with Volvik Color Golf Balls on LPGA This Week

LPGA Tour players playing Volvik color golf balls earned four Top 10 finishes and over $223,000 in prize money this weekend at the LPGA Reignwood Classic held in Beijing, China.

Two Orange, one Yellow and one Pink colored Volvik golf balls finished in the Top 10 this week on the LPGA, bringing the total number of Top 10 finishes on the 2014 LPGA Tour to 22 in 25 events, an 88% average.

"I think it's now fair to say that Volvik has experienced more Top 10 finishes on the professional golf tours with a color golf ball than any manufacturer in the history of the game," said Jon Claffey Director of Sales and Marketing for Volvik USA. "We really wanted to use the tour as a way to show golfers that there really isn't any compelling reason to not play a colored golf ball. To see this much success on tour with color balls has really helped people understand that color can be high performance for even the best players in the world, it helps you see the ball in the air better and find your golf ball more easily and it sets you apart from the crowd."

Four Volvik players who rank in the Top 50 in the Race to the CME Globe standings all finished with Top 10's this week.

• For #13 ranked Chella Choi (Orange), the 10th place finish was her 7th Top 10 of the season, including four Top 5 finishes. She ranks 2nd in birdies and 2nhd in eagles on the 2014 tour.

• For #26 ranked Pornanong Phatlum (Pink) from Thailand, the T8 finish was her 5th Top 10 and 10th Top 25 finish of the season.

• For #45 ranked Mi Hyang Lee (Orange), it was her 7th Top 25 finish of the 2014 season. The T6th finish was a career best finish for the 21-year-old three year veteran of the LPGA Tour.

The LPGA Tour continues its seven event international swing next week in Malaysia before the season ending CME Championship held in Naples, FL Nov. 20.
